NO. MACHINES ARE NOT "FLIPPING VOTES" in whitfield countY.

Our reporters have just returned from Dalton where they were investigating claims that machines were flipping votes.

Contrary to the screaming headlines on Drudge, it was a fairly mundane and routine task of simply "spoiling" the ballot and letting the voter cast a new one which they did on the same machine without incident. The Georgia Code has a provision with explicit, step by step instructions for what to do and this was followed.
No machines have been removed from service as there was nothing in the incident to suspect that the machine was at fault.
If there was even a suspicion that the machine was at fault, it would have been IMMEDIATELY removed from service and probably would have been SEIZED by investigators from the Secretary of State.
"It would be incredibly stupid to waste millions of dollars of effort and the talents of the best computer hackers in the world and risk discovery and complete exposure over a single vote on a single ballot question impacting only Whitfield County, Georgia" remarked one wag to georgia-elections.com.
